Program Objectives
This program trains individuals to become versatile metallurgical technicians capable of manufacturing, producing and controlling metallurgical products, working either independently or under the supervision of an engineer. The program’s core courses aim to provide in-depth knowledge of fundamental metallurgical principles as well as the scientific foundations required to give graduates more versatility in their careers.
Third-year courses help prepare students to easily integrate the job market in positions related to quality control, welding and metallurgical procedures. Generally speaking, the program also aims to develop students’ autonomy as well as written and oral communication skills, which help ensure successful careers for future technicians.
