At first, I just wanted to get my diploma and go back home, but in the end, I decided to stay for a while and work in my field here.
After getting my technician’s licence, I wasn’t ready to enter the job market. Then, my high school (lycée) told me about a study partnership with the Cégep de Rimouski. That was my Eureka moment! When I was arrived, I was so pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome that I received from the people in Rimouski, from not just the teachers, but the other students and the people in general. I really quickly felt at home. At first, I just wanted to get my diploma and go back home, but in the end, I decided to stay for a while and work in my field here.
